You Ought to Live for the Truth Since You Believe in God

faith in God, truth, God’s word, God’s will, know God ,

The common problem that exists in all men is that they understand the truth but cannot put it into practice. One factor is that man is unwilling to pay the price, and the other is that man’s discernment is too inadequate; he is unable to see past many of the difficulties that exist in real life and knows not how to appropriately practice. As man has too little experience, poor caliber, and limited understanding of the truth, he is unable to resolve the difficulties he encounters in life. He can only pay lip service to his faith in God, yet is unable to bring God into his everyday life. In other words, God is God, and life is life, as if man has no relationship with God in his life. That is what all men believe. Such manner of faith in God will not allow man to be gained and perfected by Him in reality. In truth, it is not that the word of God is incomplete, but rather that the ability of man to receive His word is simply inadequate. It can be said that almost no man acts according to God’s intentions. Rather, their faith in God is in accordance with their own intentions, established religious notions, and customs. Few are those who undergo a transformation following the acceptance of God’s word and begin to act in accordance with His will. Rather, they persist in their mistaken beliefs. When man begins to believe in God, he does so based on the conventional rules of religion, and lives and interacts with others entirely on the basis of his own philosophy of life. Such is the case for nine out of every ten people. Very few are those who formulate another plan and turn over a new leaf after beginning to believe in God. None regard or put into practice the word of God as the truth. Continue reading

Promises to Those Who Have Been Perfected

Promises to Those Who Have Been Perfected

What is the path through which God perfects man? Which aspects are included? Are you willing to be perfected by God? Are you willing to accept the judgment and chastisement of God? What do you know of these questions? If you cannot speak of such knowledge, then this shows that you still know not of God’s work and have not been enlightened at all by the Holy Spirit. Such kind of man cannot be perfected. They can only receive a small amount of grace to enjoy briefly and it cannot be maintained in the long term. If one merely enjoys God’s grace, he cannot be perfected by God. Some may be satisfied with the peace and enjoyment of the flesh, a life of ease without adversity or misfortune, living in peace with their family without fights or quarrels. They may even believe this to be the blessing of God, but in truth, it is merely the grace of God. You cannot be satisfied merely with enjoying the grace of God. This kind of thinking is too vulgar. Even if you read the word of God daily, pray every day, and your spirit feels particular enjoyment and peace, yet in the end you cannot speak of any knowledge of God and His work or have no experience with such, and no matter how much of God’s word you have eaten and drunk, if you merely feel peace and enjoyment in your spirit and that the word of God is sweet beyond compare, as if you cannot enjoy it enough, but you have no real experience with and no reality of the word of God, then what can you receive from such manner of faith in God? If you cannot live out the essence of God’s word, your eating and drinking of God’s words and prayers are entirely concerned with religion. Then such kind of man cannot be perfected and cannot be gained by God. All those gained by God are those who pursue the truth. What God gains is not man’s flesh nor his possessions, but the part within him that belongs to God. Therefore, God perfects not the flesh of man but his heart, so that the heart of man may be gained by God. In other words, the essence of saying that God perfects man is that God perfects the heart of man so that it may turn to God and love Him. Continue reading

2019 Christian Gospel Song | “Obey the Work of the Spirit to Follow to the End”

2019 Christian Gospel Song | “Obey the Work of the Spirit to Follow to the End”

The Holy Spirit’s work changes day to day,

higher step by step with greater revelations.

This is how God works to perfect mankind.

If man cannot keep up, he may be left behind.

Without a heart willing to obey,

he cannot follow through to the end.

Those who disobey by nature, oppose by will,

they will be left behind, as God’s work rushes on.

Only those who obey, gladly humble themselves

can progress to the end, to the end of the road.

The former age has passed, and this is a new age.

When a new age comes, new work must then be done.

And in the final age when God perfects man,

God will work oh so fast, performing new work.

And so without a heart that obeys,

how difficult to follow in God’s steps!

Those who disobey by nature, oppose by will,

they will be left behind, as God’s work rushes on.

Only those who obey, gladly humble themselves

can progress to the end, to the end of the road.

God’s work is not unchanging nor bound by rules,

but it’s ever newer, it is always higher.

His work becomes more practical with each step,

more and more in line with actual needs of mankind.

Only when man’s gone through this kind of work,

can his disposition finally change.

Those who disobey by nature, oppose by will,

they will be left behind, as God’s work rushes on.

Only those who obey, gladly humble themselves

can progress to the end, to the end of the road.

Man’s knowledge of life grows, and so God elevates His work.

That’s how God perfects man and makes him fit for God’s use.

His work fights, sets right man’s notions,

leads them to a higher, realer state,

the highest realm of faith in God, so His will may be done.

Those who disobey by nature, oppose by will,

they will be left behind, as God’s work rushes on.

Only those who obey, gladly humble themselves

can progress to the end, to the end of the road.

Do You Know the Way to Trusting God Through Trials?

Do You Know the Way to Trusting God Through Trials?

By Huixin

Every brother and sister will encounter trials, like illness, persecution and suffering, natural and manmade disasters. When these situations befall us, they are tests of our faith and obedience toward God. The Bible says, “For You, O God, have proved us: You have tried us, as silver is tried” (Psalm 66:10). “My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing” (James 1:2–4). From this we can see that trials are God’s tests and ordeals for people. They can temper people’s will, refine their confidence, cleanse the impurity in their belief in God, further their spiritual growth and make them soon become someone after God’s heart. What Does Faith Mean and Do You Know How to Have Faith?

By Anxin

With regard to faith, it is said in Scripture: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). From this verse we can see that faith involves the belief that everything we hope for shall be realized, and the confidence that things we cannot see shall be achieved. In the course of following God, faith is particularly important because it represents one’s true dependence on and admiration of God. Only those who possess true faith can witness God’s wondrous deeds and be made perfect by Him. So what does faith mean? Let’s look at some biblical records to find the answer. Continue reading

Christian Film | It’s Wonderful to Cast off the Shackles of Status

After Liang Zhi believed in God, he consistently sought with enthusiasm, and threw himself into fulfilling his duties. After a number of years, he was elected as a church leader. During the time that he performed his duties as a church leader, he realized that some of the brothers and sisters were more competent than he, which made him unhappy to the extent that he was jealous of them. In order to save face and protect his status, he secretly competed with them to see who was better, and he scrambled for fame and status. Fame and status seemed like invisible shackles binding him tightly, tying him down, leading him to do things in violation of the truth and rebelling against God. Because the carrying out of his duties was only for the sake of fame and status, and not in pursuit of the truth, the result was that he lost the work of the Holy Spirit. He could not do practical work, and was removed from his leadership duties and replaced. He suffered acutely as a result, and came before God to reflect on himself. After undergoing the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, he came to realize that pursuit of fame and status was entirely brought about by his satanic disposition of arrogance and conceit, and worshiping power and influence and status. He grasped that the essence of seeking fame and status was following the path of the antichrist. If he did not repent and mend his ways throughout, the final outcome was that he was destined to sink into oblivion. At the same time he saw clearly that faith in God required walking on the road of pursuit of the truth and carrying out his duties with devotion. After that, in fulfilling his duties he attached importance to pursuit of the truth and practicing the truth. Whenever the corrupt disposition of scrambling for fame and status slipped out, he then prayed to God seeking the truth and, accepting the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, according to the word of God he practiced forsaking the flesh, and set in order his intention to fulfill his own duty. Regardless of whether or not he had status, he was able most steadfastly to carry out his duties. Gradually he threw off the shackles of status that bound him and he no longer pursued fame and status, having walked on to the correct path of human life of seeking the truth and receiving salvation.
