Jesus Return | The Savior Has Already Returned

kingdom of heaven, Lord, the last days, Signs of Jesus’ Coming,

The Lord has promised that He will come back to take us up into the kingdom of heaven, and yet you witness that the Lord has already become flesh to do the work of judgment in the last days. According to the prophecy in the Bible, the Lord will arrive upon clouds, full of power and glory: Why does this differ from the secret arrival of the Lord through incarnation which you witnessed?

Hebrews 13:2 Commentary: Should We Entertain Strangers?

By Chen Hui

Early one morning, I sat by the window reading the Bible: “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares” (Hebrews 13:2). This verse tells us to entertain strangers with love, I thought. Since they are strangers, they must be people whom we don’t know, yet the pastor often tells us not to receive strangers by quoting the scriptures, “I marvel that you are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ to another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ” (Galatians 1:6–7). He says that as our statures are too small and we cannot distinguish, we should never receive any stranger who preaches the gospel. Ah, what exactly is the Lord’s will? What should I do? Should I receive the strangers who preach the gospel or not?

the Bible, Lord Jesus, God’s blessing, God’s will, being saved,

Just when I was feeling very perplexed, Sister Li in the church came to visit me, so I eagerly asked her: “Sister Li, the pastor often preaches to us, ‘I marvel that you are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ to another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ’ (Galatians 1:6–7). He doesn’t let us receive strangers, much less hear or see what they are preaching. But today I came across this verse, ‘Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares’ (Hebrews 13:2), which teaches us to entertain strangers with love. So should we receive strangers or not? I’d like to hear your view on this matter.” Continue reading

Meaning of Revelation 22:18 About Not Adding Things to the Prophecies

By Li Qing

Editor’s note: We all know the passage in the Book of Revelation about not adding things to the prophecies, and many of us therefore believe that if there are people preaching that the Lord has returned to perform new work and utter new words, that would be adding something to the Bible. As a result, even when they hear the news about the Lord’s return, they do not seek or investigate it. But is this understanding really in line with the Lord’s will?

One day, I was reading the Bible in the house when Sister Zheng suddenly came to visit me. She said happily: “Sister Li, I came here today to tell you some good news—the Lord Jesus, whom we have been expecting has returned, and He is carrying out a new stage of work.” So saying, she took a book entitled The Scroll Opened by the Lamb out of her bag, saying: “Look! This is the new word expressed by the returned Lord Jesus, the water of life that flows from the throne! …”

Kingdom Anthem─the Kingdom Descends on the World

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God” (Revelation 21:2-3).

Brothers and sisters, we have seen that the Bible prophecies have basically been fulfilled, and the holy city of New Jerusalem has descended from above! The kingdom of God is formally established on the earth. God will gain a group of people who can carry out God’s will on earth and God will reign as King on earth, leading His people to live on earth in person. I’m looking forward to the official release of the chorus of 21st performance, which is a moment all people will celebrate!

Why Did the Jews Yearn for the Coming of the Messiah yet Oppose Him When He Truly Came?

the-coming-of-the-Messiah

By Xia Wei

As we all know, the Jews were God’s chosen people, Israel was the birthplace of God’s work, the Old Testament predicted that the Messiah would lead the lives of the Israelites, and thus the Jews had eagerly yearned for the coming of the Messiah. But why was it that when the Messiah—the Lord Jesus—truly came to work, they didn’t accept Him, yet opposed Him and even crucified Him? This is what we will talk about today. May the Lord guide us.

The first reason was that the Jews relied on their imaginings and notions to understand the prophecies and delimit God’s work.
It is recorded in chapter 9, verses 6–7 in the Book of Isaiah, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be on His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on even for ever. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.Continue reading

Do You Know the Way to Trusting God Through Trials?

Do You Know the Way to Trusting God Through Trials?

By Huixin

Every brother and sister will encounter trials, like illness, persecution and suffering, natural and manmade disasters. When these situations befall us, they are tests of our faith and obedience toward God. The Bible says, “For You, O God, have proved us: You have tried us, as silver is tried” (Psalm 66:10). “My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing” (James 1:2–4). From this we can see that trials are God’s tests and ordeals for people. They can temper people’s will, refine their confidence, cleanse the impurity in their belief in God, further their spiritual growth and make them soon become someone after God’s heart. The Mystery of the Incarnation (4)

salvation, the Holy Spirit, work of God, believe in God, the Bible,

You should know of the story behind the Bible and of its making. This knowledge does not belong to those who have not accepted the new work of God. They do not know. If you were to speak plainly of these matters of substance to them, they would no longer be sticklers about the Bible with you. They are constantly digging into what has been prophesied: Has this statement come to pass? Has that statement come to pass? Their acceptance of the gospel is in accordance with the Bible; and they preach the gospel according to the Bible. Their belief in God rests on the words of the Bible; without the Bible, they will not believe in God. This is the manner in which they live, subjecting the Bible to petty scrutiny. When they once again come digging into the Bible and ask you for explanations, you can say, “First, let us not verify each statement. Instead, let us look at how the Holy Spirit works. Let us take the path we walk and compare it with the truth to see if this path is in line with the work of the Holy Spirit, and use the work of the Holy Spirit to check whether such path is correct. As for whether this statement or that statement has come to pass as foretold, we humans should not stick our noses into it. It is better for us to speak instead of the work of the Holy Spirit and the latest work that God has been doing. The Bible comprises the words of God told by the prophets and the words written by the men God used at the time; only God Himself can explain those words, only the Holy Spirit can make known the meaning of those words, and only God Himself can break the seven seals and open the scroll. You are not God, and neither am I, so who dares lightly to explain the words of God? Do you dare to explain those words? Even if the prophets Jeremiah, John and Elijah were to come, they would not dare to try and explain those words, for they are not the Lamb. Only the Lamb can break the seven seals and open the scroll, and none other can explain His words. I dare not usurp the name of God, much less attempt to explain God’s words. I can only be one who obeys God. Are you God? None of God’s creatures dare to open the scroll or explain those words, and so I dare not explain them either. You had better not attempt to explain them. No one shall try to explain. Let us talk about the work of the Holy Spirit; this much man can do. I know a little of the work of Jehovah and Jesus, but as I have no personal experience of such work, I can only speak of it to a slight extent. As for the meaning of the words that Isaiah or Jesus spoke in their time, I will make no explanation. I do not study the Bible; rather, I follow the present work of God. You actually regard the Bible as the little scroll, but is it not something that only the Lamb can open? Apart from the Lamb, who else can do so? You are not the Lamb, and even less do I dare claim to be God Himself, so let us not analyze the Bible or subject it to petty scrutiny. Far better to discuss the work done by the Holy Spirit, that is, the present work done by God Himself. Let us see what are the principles by which God works and what the substance of His work, using these to verify whether the path we walk on today is right, and in this way make certain of it.” If you wish to preach the gospel, particularly to those in the religious world, you must understand the Bible and have a mastery of its inside story; otherwise, there is no way for you to preach the gospel. Once you have mastered the bigger picture, and cease to scrutinize the dead words of the Bible in a petty way, but speak only of the work of God and the truth of life, then you shall be able to gain those who seek with a true heart.
